For years, I was energized by doing philanthropy consulting for a Fortune 500 company, being managing partner of a professional service firm, serving on numerous community boards, embracing the ups and downs of raising three resilient children, and being married to a loving partner for over 30 years. I also found the energy to pack and unpack my suitcase time and time again in order to travel the world.
But here is another part of my truth…
Over those same years, I breathed out endlessly to others and I forgot to breathe in. I became depleted and I started to lose my way. I felt emotional itchiness, waves of being overwhelmed, and dis-ease. Somewhere, deep down under the tangles, I could sense the strong, silent roots of my own resilience and I leaned on that as I struggled to find answers.
Then, as I started to pay attention, gifted teachers began to appear.
Dr. Simon Kang (Mayo Clinic) taught me about lifestyle medicine as an evidence-based component of wellbeing. Penny George (Penny George Institute for Health and Healing/Allina Health) took me under her gifted wings and taught me that intense integrity, self-awareness, and courage can lead to increased health and resilience. Dr. Jim Gordon (Center for Mind Body Medicine in Washington, D.C.) taught me that purpose and deep listening is healing, Dr. Dan Siegel (Mindsight Institute) taught me about the role of community in wellbeing through interpersonal neurobiology, and Dr. Lissa Rankin taught me to open to the unknown and unknowable, all in the spirit of health and wellbeing.

from the Earl E. Bakken Center for Spirituality & Healing at the University of Minnesota, one of the United States’ premiere research universities. I am amongst the first to be board certified through the National Consortium for Health and Wellness Coaches.
Now, I am trained as an Integrative Health and Wellbeing Coach and I walk next to others as they discover or rediscover their own truths. I have learned from the best and know from personal experience how life affirming it is to flourish.

My approach to Integrative Health and Wellbeing Coaching is through supportive partnership as you nurture your own innate wholeness and wisdom through the alignment of values and beliefs with behaviors.
Align Whole Health Coaching is a trusted partner during times when chronic, confusing, or complex situations are taking a toll on your health – body, mind or soul - and you are ready to untangle the mess and create a plan to move forward.
Often, people know when they are ready to make a change but don’t know where to start.
I use deep listening, guided self-reflection and authentic communication to help my clients identify “sparks” of alignment between their beliefs and values with their behaviors.
They begin to notice that alignment brings feelings of ease and relief. Just as individual stars join together in the sky to form a constellation, individual sparks join together to form patterns of new or more spacious behaviors and from that, we create a plan with actionable steps.
As an individual continues on their way, sparks naturally increase in number, although without concentration, they may remain invisible.
Align Whole Health Coaching creates space for an individual to allow their eyes to adjust, to see the sparks and the patterns that are naturally emerging and to intentionally adjust their behaviors to match. Then they move with ease into spacious thinking about “what’s next” through individual coaching, group coaching, and supplementary activities that encourage sparks to become visible, resulting in realignment and wellness.
