What becomes visible when you stir your energy with the right spoon?

One of the images that comes to mind when I work with clients is that of a big pot, filled with energy. Often my client's energy has become almost still... the level may be too low for there to be enough to stir, so thick it can't move, or still because the stirrer has become exhausted.

No matter where you are stuck or overwhelmed, how does stirring your own energy pot with the right spoon, support your optimal health?

Sometimes the stirrer was told as a child that stirring their own energy pot was inconvenient for the parent, so they are hesitant to choose a spoon. And occasionally, the energy is boiling so furiously that it is spitting out of the pot in all directions.

Just as invisible ink can become visible with the right solution, all sorts of interesting things become visible when the energy pot is stirred, and stirred with the right spoon.

There are so many beautiful spoons to choose from.

One spoon I love is very long and it offers the chance to step back and take in a broader picture - to contextualize a current, often challenging, situation. "This is now, but it hasn't always been this way, and it will change again - because everything does." When the pot is stirred with this spoon, broader, wider, more expansive options become visible.

Another spoon I love is multicolored and offers the chance to remember that the world is not black or white, yes or no, either/or. "I have many options to choose from, when I stop to think about them, and I can ask others for support to create even more options." When the pot is stirred with this spoon, nuanced and more complex options become visible.

A third spoon I love flips back and forth and offers the chance to reframe - "What else could this look like? What else could this mean?" When this spoon is used, paradoxical options become visible.

There are so many spoons to choose from...to know that is a first step, to practice stirring energy with them is the next.

When I practice stirring my own energy pot, it feels super healthy.

Make stirring your own energy pot, with the right spoon, a healthy habit.
